WEDDING!!!

We got married on August 7th and it was the best day ever!!! I loved every minute of it. Sadly I still don't have the pictures from our wedding but that's ok. We took some bridals before and we have those. We got married in the afternoon, so I got to relax all morning and then Shane came over and we got ready together and we got in the car and went to the temple. When we came out all our family and friends were there, it was so fun to see everyone! The weather was overcast which is good for pictures but then it started to rain!!! I love the rain so I was totally fine with it. After the pictures we went to our reception which was outside but the weather cleared up so it was perfect, exactly what we wanted! I wouldn't change anything about our wedding day! I love Shane so much and life has never been better! Oh and here are some bridals!

i love hannah

hannah came up to visit me in brianhead when i had my cox family reunion. that was really nice of her. we rode ATVs and it was fun. she actually surprised me and called me a couple hours before she got there. she is a better surpriser than i.

my future brother-in-law thinks i look gay cuz of my legs. i agree. except for the fact that i am kissing a girl. oh well.

shane's (not so) surprise visit

so it has been a while since i blogged. i really tried to blog before... but my amazing fiancee never posted the picture that went with the blog. and we all know what people think of blog posts that don't have pictures. super lame right?

well this is shane... obviously. i just thought i would say a few words about my recent "surprise" visit to see hannah in utah.

it all started with a text from an old mission companion wondering if i could come up to provo to hang out and get togehter with some buds. i thought about it and considered it since it would be a chance to see hannah, which i love doing. so i considered it for about a week. thursday night i decided i wanted to go. so i went friday morning. i texted hillary, hannah's sister, to make sure it would be okay with their family if i stayed at their house. she said it was fine if i did. i was excited.
i left friday morning and was texting hannah as usual, not leading her to believe i was coming. so i finally get to her door and ring the doorbell to surprise her and she comes and gives me a hug! but she didn't seem so surprised that i was there. i was expecting her to be in shock. but she wasn't. so i could tell she knew. i guess her mom accidentally let it slip.

i just realized this story wasn't all that exciting. but i thought the title was pretty clever.

so yes, hannah knew i was coming since the morning. and pretended that she didn't know to not hurt my feelings. oh well. it was still really great to see her.

we went to a restaurant to eat pupusas (salvadorian food) at el salvador restaurante on center street in provo with a few of the spanish missionaries from my mission. it was fun. hannah thought forrest was weird. he was one of my interesting companions. we had fun though.

then we visited with chelsea for a while. it was fun.

The Engagement! (And the Longest Post EVER!)

So if you didn't already know Shane and I are engaged!!! I thought I would share the story of how it happened because lots of people seem to ask about it. We were talking about getting engaged and I jokingly said it would be fun to get engaged at Disneyland and I still don't know to this day if he thinks I was serious or not but we get to Disneyland and like one of the first things he says to me is Hannah don't expect to get engaged because I haven't bought a ring and I haven't even talked to your dad yet. That was totally fine with me and I stopped thinking about it and was just happy to be able to spend the week with Shane and it was so much fun!

During our week in California we decided that Shane would drive back up to Utah with me because his parents would be there and he could go back with them to go to school on Monday. He is so sweet to make sure I don't have to drive by myself when I don't have to. After we knew he was coming up we also knew that he was going to go to the Priesthood meeting with my dad and the whole time he was like oh I'll just talk to your dad about marrying you then and you won't even know. I knew how nervous he was about asking so I didn't know if it would really happen.

We get back from Disneyland and we are at Shane's house and I did not feel good at all. I had allergies or something but it just wasn't good. Shane was so cute all day just making sure I was happy and had everything I wanted but that wasn't anything unusual because he does that all the time! We finally decided to go get some dinner and thought pizza sounded good so we went to Metro Pizza.

After dinner we go back to his house and we start watching TV I don't really remember what we were watching because I fell asleep like I always do! Finally I wake up and Shane was like come and let me play this song on the piano. I love when he plays the piano so of course I was all for it but still not feeling well. I was sitting there listening and loving and he said oh I have I different song for you and I wrote words in Spanish for you. ( I love when he speaks Spanish to me even though I have no idea what he is saying to me) He seemed nervous to play and he never seems nervous but I didn't think twice about it. During the song he was just soo cute I started crying! So when he finishes he turns around and says Hannah in like a super serious voice and opens the piano bench and pulls out a little white box and I imagine my face looking so confused and he says I talked to your dad and he opened the box and there was my ring!!!!!!! I think he said will you marry me because I remember saying yes! After that I was just crying and so happy!!

I've never been so happy in my life and I can not wait to marry Shane on August 7th!!

I only took one picture during that whole story and it's at the top, it was a little bit after he actually proposed at his brothers house and we are in our pajamas and look pretty tired because it was late and my hair is in my face I don't know why haha

Oh and I forgot I think this is what Shane said to me in Spanish when I had no idea what he was saying so unless you speak Spanish you probably won't understand like me. Sorry!
Sentar a tu lado, presentarme, pensaba que eras bonita. Te conocia, me enamoraba, me eres perfecta chula. Estoy ya seguro que eres la una que voy a amar por siempre. Casemonos pronto, ya es tiempo, seras me pareja Hannah. No va a super facil, vamos a estar juntos siempre. No va a ser super facil, pero, se que valdra la pena. Te casaras conmingo?

DISNEYLAND!!

Shane and I went to Disneyland for his spring break and it was sooo much fun. My favorite part of the whole trip was getting a million points on Buzz Lightyear but Shane didn't do so well. I think we went on every single ride we wanted to at least three times and it never rained on us which is always a plus. We went with Marc and Kendra and their little boy Casen! It was so cute to watch Casen get excited when he saw the characters. Shane and I took him on Pirates of the Caribbean but he didn't like that one very much. He kept saying, "Let's get out of here" It was funny. It was so fun being with Marc and Kendra and getting to know them better. I can't wait to go back! Little did I know Shane had some big surprise in the works the whole time we were there!!

seeing as we are engaged now, we decided to start a blog together to keep up with family and friends.

we first started dating in october and shane proposed on april 2nd. we will keep you posted as to when and where our wedding and reception(s) will be.
